Open Settings
Select Settings at the bottom of the sidebar (on a phone: More → Settings). The menu on the left lists its pages; on a phone they're tabs along the top. Search settings finds a single setting, such as timezone or dark mode, and takes you straight to it. You can also type a setting's name into the command palette (⌘K).
Account
- Name: the name shown in FocusPilot.
- Email address: change the address you sign in with. FocusPilot sends a confirmation link first.
- Password: needs your current password and a new one of at least 8 characters. Changing it signs you out on your other devices.
Appearance & sound
These apply to the device you're using, so each browser or phone can be different.
- Theme: Light, Dark or System (follows your device). Also in the account menu.
- Density: Comfortable or Compact (fits more on screen). Also in the account menu.
- Sound effects: a chime when you complete a task, check a habit, hit your focus goal or get a notification.
Notifications
Choose In-app, Email and Push for each kind of notification, and turn on Browser notifications for the device you're on. New accounts start with every email off.
Time & schedule
- Timezone: used for due dates, reminders, Today, Analytics and bookings. It's set from your browser when you first sign in.
- Time format: 12-hour or 24-hour.
- Working hours: the start and end of your workday. They set the Planning timeline, where Plan my day places work, when the day card asks you to wrap up, and when daily nudges arrive.
- Daily focus target: the goal for the focus ring on Today, from 30 minutes to 8 hours (2 hours by default).
Focus timer
- Focus session length: 15 to 90 minutes (25 by default).
- Breaks: short break 3 to 15 minutes (5), long break 10 to 45 minutes (15), and how many focus sessions come before a long break, 2 to 8 (4).
Workspace
- Name: rename your workspace (up to 80 characters). It's shown in the sidebar and the header.
- Plan and Your role: shown for reference. Every workspace is on the Free plan.
- Setup guide: Run setup again walks through your hours, tools, AI assistant and email choices again.
- Reset workspace (Danger zone, owner only): deletes everything in the workspace (tasks, notes, goals, habits, history, finance, trading and booking records, booking pages, files, API keys and MCP tokens, notifications) and leaves an empty one. Your account, password, two-factor sign-in, preferences, the workspace's name and booking handle, your modules and this month's AI usage stay. Type RESET and your password to confirm; you'll get an email when it's done. It can't be undone.
Modules
Turn optional sections on or off: Finance, Trading, Prayer times, Daily inspiration, Wellbeing, Bookmarks, Files, Bookings, AI assist and Developers. Modules you turn on appear in the sidebar and the command palette. Turning one off hides it but keeps its data.
Storage
Shows how much of your 200 MB of file storage you're using and what's in the trash. Empty trash frees that space straight away; Manage files opens the Files page when the Files module is on.
Delete all files (Danger zone, owner only) permanently deletes every file, in the library and the trash, plus your folders and every attachment, including expense receipts. Your tasks, notes and other records stay. Type DELETE and your password to confirm. It can't be undone.
AI assistant
Shows how many AI runs you've used this month against your monthly limit. The count resets on the 1st of each month.
